Holiday intensives timetable
Session times for all our holiday intensive programs are listed below. When you see a suitable spot, simply click on the session to the book yourself in. If you would like a private lesson for the holiday intensives, please email enrol@fit2swim.com or phone 0466 790 798.
The programs cover beginners through to advanced swimmers. Classes are listed in order of increasing competency. Please look at the videos and prerequisites carefully to choose the correct level. You can also read the full class descriptions. Please contact us if you aren't sure of the right level.

This beginner class is for children 3+ years old who aren't yet able to keep themself afloat and move in water independently.
​
In this pre-strokes class we teach your child to progress from dog paddle by developing a correct streamlined body position.
Prerequisites:
-
Swims dog paddle unassisted for 5m
-
Puts face underwater, blows bubbles and comes back up
-
Back floats unassisted for 5 seconds
-
Does safety jump from side of pool and swims back to wall
INTENSIVE FIT 2 FREESTYLE video

T​his class introduces your child to correct freestyle technique.
Prerequisites:
-
Propels themself 10m on front and back by kicking in a streamlined body position with coordinated big arms

Keeps body flat with face in water and chin to chest
-
Keeps legs straight with floppy feet
​Note: if your child cannot hold a streamlined body position, Fit 2 Glide would be a better starting point.
INTENSIVE FIT 2 ADVANCED FREESTYLE video
​
This class takes your child's freestyle technique to a more advanced level and introduces backstroke.
Prerequisites:
Swims co-ordinated one-sided freestyle continuously for 10m, including
-
Keeps face looking down in water and rolls to breathe to one side
-
Kicks continuously from the hips with floppy feet
-
Arms clear the water
Note: your child should already be competent swimming freestyle breathing to one side. If not, the Fit 2 Freestyle level would be a better fit.
This class is for children ready to swim continuous laps of freestyle and backstroke, building efficiency, speed, strength and stamina.
Prerequisites:
-
Able to swim freestyle and backstroke with very good technique for 20m and are ready to extend their swimming to greater distances, OR
-
Children 7+ years old who can confidently swim 25m without stopping but need to improve their freestyle and backstroke technique
INTENSIVE FIT 2 BREASTSTROKE video
This class introduces your child to breaststroke, as well as building on their freestyle and backstroke technique.
Prerequisites:

Swims coordinated freestyle continuously for 40m

Swims coordinated backstroke continuously for 40m

Performs standing dive
This class prepares your child for squad. It introduces the butterfly stroke, as well as building on freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke technique.
Prerequisites:

Swims backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle continuously for 40m
These squad sessions are designed for competent swimmers looking to enhance their swimming speed, strength and fitness, and prepare for competition.
Prerequisites:
-
Can swim freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke continuously and efficiently for 100m and butterfly for 50m.
